ARRL FIELD DAY 2026 is completed. Thanks go out to all who participated and visited the airport location.
Field Day Update for Pete’s Sake.
The Largest on the Air Ham Radio event in the world is almost here. We made a few tweaks and are always looking to improve and will continue to do so. 3PM Friday is the official start time to set up the stations. 1PM Saturday we start the contest that is not a contest and go for 24 hours.
A few quick notes. If you want to sit down, bring a chair. If you have to have a smoke go DOWNWIND and well away from any Airplanes, Motor Home, Trailer, Tent or Tarp. The station schedules are online at Operating schedule and contacts We will also have a schedule on site but will be First come First served so sign up early if you want a certain timeslot. We’ll try to work you in the schedule but with over 60 people… Just do it early. Weather during FD is always a thing so just be a good Scout and be prepared. We swapped the Biscuits and Gravy to Saturday Breakfast and will do Pancakes Sunday. I’m still looking at either a live or recorded stream of some of the FD activities and will let you know. As of now I’m thinking recorded content makes more sense. I hope to see you there. 73 Pete kd0sqj
Sign-up sheets are available on-line for operating the CW, SSB, Digital, and VHF stations as well as helping with GOTA or the Welcome Table.
Go to dk-tiny.com/FD and double click the desired file. Enter your name, call and, optionally, cell # and email address for the appropriate hour. Enter your name for additional hours.

Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams
throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places
to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation.
It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical
skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since
1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.
